2. Prepare the Material

We'll choose or develop material that gives you opportunities to show different sides of your voice without making the demo feel forced.

3. Record Remotely

You'll record from your home setup. I'll help make sure your recording environment and technical setup are ready before we begin.

4. Direction & Production

I'll help guide the performance, then edit, produce, mix, and build the finished demo around your voice.

5. Final Delivery

You'll receive a polished, professionally produced demo ready for auditions, websites, agents, casting platforms, and promotional use.

FAQ!

What equipment do I need to record my voice-over demo?

You don't need a full professional studio, but you will need a quiet, recording space.

We may even be able to record the dialog using your phone.

Before we begin, I'll help you evaluate your setup to make sure we can capture audio that's good enough for professional demo production.

Do I need to come to a studio?

No. The entire process can be completed remotely.

We'll work together online, and I'll provide direction throughout the recording process.

Will you direct me during the recording session?

Yes. This isn't simply a matter of sending me recordings and having me edit them together.

I'll work with you on performance, pacing, delivery, and getting the right read for each piece. The performance comes first. Production can't fix a bad read.

Do I need to provide my own scripts?

Not necessarily.

We can discuss the type of voice-over work you're pursuing and select or develop material that helps demonstrate your range and strengths.

What types of voice-over demos can you produce?

Depending on your goals, we can produce demos for commercial work, narration, character/animation, corporate/industrial work, and other voice-over applications.

We'll determine the right direction before production begins rather than trying to cram every style into one demo.

What happens after I record my voice?

That's where the production begins.

I'll edit the performances, tighten the pacing, select and incorporate appropriate music and sound design where needed, mix the individual pieces, and master everything into a polished final demo.

How long will my finished demo be?

It depends on the type of demo we're creating, but the goal isn't to make it long.

The goal is to show what you can do quickly.

We'll determine the appropriate length and structure based on the type of work you're pursuing.

Generally, VO Demos should be around one minute in length. It can slightly longer, but the goal is one minute!

What if I've never made a voice-over demo before?

That's perfectly fine.

I'll walk you through the process from beginning to end—from preparing your recording setup and selecting material through recording, direction, production, and final delivery.
